Come and experience winter at Godinton House & Gardens. Our Home Ed sessions are perfect for children who want to learn through hands-on tasks, creative projects and outdoor activities, all set in the beautiful surroundings of our historic house and gardens.
Session 1 - Monday 9th November
Find out about the produce we grow in our Walled Garden and use some of our Godinton-grown pumpkins to make fresh soup and delicious muffins.
Session 2 - Monday 16th November
Get creative with nature and learn about how plants can make natural dyes. Collect leaves and other natural materials to make your own hapa zome printed bag.
Session 3 - Monday 23rd November
Become a gardener for the day. Join our team of gardeners and help them with some of their winter tasks. Find out about the different parts of our gardens and plant some seeds to take home and look after.
Session 4 - Monday 30th November
Complete a series of nature trails, scavenger hunts and orienteering activities out in the gardens. There will be plenty of treasure-collecting, code-breaking and map-reading.
Session 5 - Monday 7th December
Experience a morning of fun and adventure in our Woodland Walk. Explore what’s on offer, make dens and have a go at some traditional wood crafts using tools.
Session 6 - Monday 14th December
Christmas has arrived at Godinton House! Enjoy festive crafts, stories and hot chocolate and come and sing carols in the Great Hall under our huge Christmas tree.
