One lovely sunny day and the birds are nest building, bees are loudly buzzing in the hellebores and even a Peacock butterfly has emerged from hibernation. The gardens are open for the 2015 season and spring seems to have arrived.
The second flowering of our Delphinium collection in the walled garden is really extraordinary this year. The cutting beds and potager are packed with colour – Dahlias, Zinnias, Rudbeckias and Cosmos all making the most of the glorious weather. There are still some places on our Autumn Garden Tasks workshop on Sat 4th Oct if … Find out more
This wonderfully warm Indian summer is helping to extend the display of all the late summer flowers. Rudbeckias, sunflowers, Zinnias and Dahlias are filling the walled garden with colour.
Janine Creaye’s ‘Sickle Headed Night’ and ‘Flame Headed Day’. This is the last weekend to see Sculpture in the Gardens show with 23 artists showing 85 pieces of their work. Come and enjoy following the trail and don’t miss the cream teas in the tea room!

The Aquilegias, sweet rocket, Anchusa, Pyrethrum and sweet Williams have been giving us armfuls of flowers. Not so pleased, however, with the early flowering of our gorgeous delphinium … Find out more

It’s cherry blossom and magnolia time in the gardens. Prunus ‘Pink Shell’ looking particularly fabulous against a clear blue sky.
