Home in time for Christmas

At the beginning of September, during an almost tropical storm, the gutters above the Great Hall overflowed causing water to flood through the ceiling. This caused damage to the portraits hanging in the Great Hall but the water also went into our Steinway grand piano. After an expert came and examined the damage, they found other problems and recommended that the piano should be restored. Here, you can see a photo we took of our 19th Century piano as it was shipped off for repair. Hopefully it will be home in time for Christmas.
