June in the Garden

June is an exceptionally vibrant, busy time in any gardener’s calendar. Our outdoor spaces are bursting at the seams with a great surge of intense growth and vigour. Godinton is awash with the most jewel-like, sparkling and shimmering blooms, filling the garden with both scent, colour and grace. Changes to the twin borders are coming to fruition, with a hefty blend of hues. The much loved walled garden is now an exciting blend of both emergent fruit and veg and flowers for cutting. Plants to enjoy as you visit this glorious garden in high Summer include delicate Abutilons, the lollipop charm of Alliums and a rose garden packed to the rafters with the most fragrant delights. Amongst this exceptional beauty, the garden team are working flat out to maintain this wonderful garden, but don’t hesitate in approaching us with your queries and questions on all things horticultural. Most excitingly, however, is our Delphinium festival, which now extends to a fortnight from the 11th to the 26th of June, where we will be showcasing some of the most exceptional varieties of this much loved and revered garden plant. See you there!
