The lovely weather has been encouraging people to enjoy the great outdoors and explore the circular walk around the Estate. If you completed a lap on Sunday 2nd June you may have noticed that it was busier than usual.
This weekend we welcomed the Gurkha Peace Foundation as they completed their annual charity walk/run. The walk consists of two separate routes, a full lap of 13km in memory of 13 Gurkha Victoria Cross receivers, or a half lap of 6.5km.
The Gurkha Peace Foundation was born out of the aftermath of the Gurkha Justice Campaign and relies on events like this to sustain projects both in Nepal and the UK. Its founding principle is to create a charity which works towards the integration of the British and Nepalese communities, and supports worthwhile causes.
