UPSTAIRS, DOWNSTAIRS AND IN MY LADY’S CHAMBER

A 5 day course on the architectural/social history of the Country House, upstairs and downstairs. Each day will tell the story of a particular historical period and can be studied alone, or choose to cover the whole history from the medieval to the modern day.  £40 per day, or £190 for the whole course. WILLIAM BLAKE – SONGS OF INNOCENCE AND EXPERIENCE

Study Day with Sally Ann Wardroper, combining poetry and art appreciation. William Blake was an artist and engraver as well as a poet. We will examine his Songs of Innocence and Experience in their original form as ‘illuminated’ books; where the art and poetry were conceived together as one entity, each informing the other.  £40 including tea/coffee, home-made cake.
