Enjoy a stroll round Godinton’s 13 acres of gardens and pick up some inspiration from the Italian Garden, Rose Garden, herbaceous borders and greenhouses and then stock up with plants from a dozen local specialist nurseries. Gates open for the Plant Fair from 11am.
There will be unusual varieties of shrubs, herbs, grasses, roses, alpines and climbers. Our local nurseries produce a wonderful range of interesting and unusual plants. Come and support them as they help to conserve the diversity of plants available to gardeners. These enthusiastic growers are dedicated to providing high quality, established plants and are more than happy to share their knowledge and give advice on the plants they sell.
Head Gardener, Viv Hunt said ” With so many of the big suppliers importing huge quantities of plants from nurseries abroad I’m very keen to support our local growers who are producing healthy, unusual plants which you know will be suited to our gardens and climate. They always bring something new which I can’t resist for the gardens”.
This year there will also be Pivington Pots, Biddenden Vineyard’s cider and apple juice and Wood ‘n’ Ware which is a local not-for-profit organisation who will be selling their hand made bird houses.
£5 entry for plant fair and garden.
