Godinton House re-opens on the 5th of April. Thanks to a closed season spent deep cleaning and other areas getting much needed restoration, it looks spectacular. Although all the porcelain is back in place and the woodwork has been buffed, there is always work to be done. At the moment work continues in the attics, which have seen some big changes this year. New storage has been organised for the parts of the collection that we are unfortunately unable to show due to their condition or space limitations. We are also continuing with the programme of replacing old cement plaster with lime plaster to allow the walls to ‘breathe’.
