Since the beginning of the New Year our onsite building team, along with an expert lime plasterer, have been hard at work in our education room. The started by removing the old cement plaster, which was not allowing the walls to breathe resulting in damp damage. Once all of this was removed structural and brickwork repairs were carried out before installing environmentally friendly wood fibre insulation boards. In the last week the walls have been plastered using a modern lime plaster and will be finished off with a clay based breathable paint.
During this process the team discovered a recess that had previously housed the old laundry copper.
The room will soon look bright and inviting ready for our workshops and education groups to enjoy in comfort.
