Cherry season

The flowering season of ornamental cherries is short (especially if hit by bad weather) but stunning and this years display of magnolias and cherries is making up for the poor daffodil showing after last years dry season.

We have scattered Scilla siberica bulbs around the garden and hope they will naturalise to give us patches of electric blue flowers on a dull spring day. Tulips are the other mainstay at this time of year and ‘Burnt Sugar’ with its sweet scent is a favourite.
