The gardens at Godinton House will be opening every day from the 1st March, gates open from 1pm until 6pm.
During spring the Wild Garden is transformed by a stunning display of daffodils, snowdrops and crocuses early in the season, followed by primroses, anemones and snakeshead fritillaries. Drifts of the original 19th century daffodils such as Emperor, Empress and Maximus Superbus are still going strong but the current gardening team are adding to the display with some strongly scented jonquils and pretty Narcissus cyclamineus. After the gloomy chill of the winter months this is worth leaving your hibernation to see. The first of the daffodils have been enjoying the sunshine.
