Donnerstag 4th June

It has been heart-warming to welcome our Garden Season Ticket holders back this week and at last be able to share the beautiful gardens again – albeit on reduced opening hours. We thank them for their feedback, which has helped us improve our procedures for opening safely. From Tuesday 9th June, opening will be extended to include RHS members, and then from Tuesday 16th June Historic House members. All visits must be pre-booked by emailing your membership number, expiry date, contact telephone number and preferred time and date to Rachael at info@godintonhouse.co.uk. The gardens will be open Tuesday to Friday from 1pm to 5pm (last booked entry 4pm).

The current plan is to extend opening to the general public from Tuesday 30th June to include weekends, on the understanding that there are no further changes to Government guidelines in the meantime. Initially all visits will be pre-booked. Please continue to check our website for further updates.

This is on the understanding that there are no further changes to Government guidelines in the meantime. Prior to this date we will be opening for our members to check our new procedures work well. COVID-19 Statement, 13th Mai 2020

Following the recent announcement of the Government’s road map for exiting lockdown, we start to see light at the end of the tunnel and tentatively make plans for re-opening the gardens later in the summer. We cannot confirm exact dates yet, as work needs to be carried out to ensure our visitors can safely follow social distancing guidelines, but rest assured we will welcome you back as soon as we can. New procedures will need to be implemented so it may feel different when you return, but I am sure everyone will support us in our aims to make Godinton a safe place to visit. The house and tearoom will remain closed for the rest of the season but hopefully we will be able to return to some sort of normal next spring.

Sally Connolly, House Manager/Trust Administrator

Eigentum
