Grow Your Knowledge

September is a month to reignite our learning, we have an array of workshops running with talented, local artists and our own Head Gardener. Try your hand at various painting mediums, clay sculpture or for those with green fingers one of our garden workshops. Sculpture In The Garden

  The sculpture show has filled the garden once again with wonderful objects to add a fresh look to rather parched surroundings. There are ceramics, steel, stone and glass works by seventeen different artists. This stoneware mermaid was made by Godinton’s resident potter, Jane Richardson, but other work has travelled from around the UK.

This long-established summer’s sculpture show is now a popular fixture in many diaries. For three weeks a selection of new work is shown adding an exciting element to the 13 acres of beautiful and varied gardens. Delphinium Festival

It’s time to celebrate the ‘Queen of the Borderat Godinton. Our collection of Elatum Delphiniums in the Walled Garden are bursting into magnificent flower and we’re organizing some special events to make the most of them. New workshop with Head Gardener, Viv Hunt

On Saturday May 12th Head Gardener, Viv Hunt, will be running a new workshop on plant manipulation and training. It will be a morning of tips, advice and demonstrations on how to create topiary, improve the shape of trees and shrubs, and train plants to suit your space and still produce an abundance of fruitFinde mehr heraus

This Sunday, Plant Fair

Our local nurseries produce a wonderful range of interesting and unusual plants. Come and support them as they help to conserve the diversity of plants available to gardeners. New ‘Growing Annualsworkshop for 2018

Head Gardener, Viv Hunt, is preparing for a new workshop on Saturday 21st of April all about annuals. She’ll be looking at what to grow to fill borders, pots and vases with colour all through the season. The spring starts here

The house is opening this weekend for the start of it’s 2018 Jahreszeit. Rugs have been cleaned, panelling buffed and cakes are in the oven for the tea room.
